IDN Punnycode converter

An IDN (Internationalized Domain Name) Punnycode converter is a tool that converts domain names containing non-ASCII characters into a format that is compatible with the Domain Name System (DNS).

The DNS is a system that translates human-readable domain names into IP addresses that computers can use to locate web servers and other network resources. However, the DNS was originally designed to handle only ASCII characters, and non-ASCII characters such as accented letters, Chinese characters, or Arabic script were not supported.

To address this limitation, IDN was developed as a way to represent non-ASCII characters in domain names. IDN domain names are encoded using Punycode, a simple ASCII encoding scheme that replaces non-ASCII characters with a sequence of ASCII characters preceded by an "xn--" prefix.

For example, the domain name "éxample.com" would be encoded as "xn--xample-hva.com" in Punycode format.

An IDN Punnycode converter can be used to convert domain names between their human-readable format and their Punycode encoding. This can be useful for registering and managing internationalized domain names, as well as for troubleshooting DNS issues related to non-ASCII characters.
